Oto-Ease - LongRanger_imp - 06-18-2017 For those of you who use custom-molded silicon earplugs, try a few drops of Oto-Ease on them before insertion. I was just introduced to this stuff on the F800GT forum and it really helps improve the sealing of the earplug, making for a noticeably quieter ride. Wish I knew about this 20 years ago. Available on Amazon. RE: Oto-Ease - Nortoon_imp - 06-18-2017 I usually ride alone, but one day was out with a friend on a Honda CB600F4. When I mentioned I had trouble inserting my foam ear plugs, he suggested moistening them with my tongue. Apparently that is what race car drivers do. It works! It took me a year to find good ear plugs. A rider on the CB500X forum suggested 3M E-A-Rsoft yellow neons. After trying them, I bought a box of 200 pair on Amazon. Although inexpensive, they are soft, comfortable, stay put, and really cut the noise. Oto-Ease - PowerDubs_imp - 06-18-2017 I just bought a set of pin lock ear plugs while I was shopping for my new helmet. I have not tried them yet but supposedly they allow you to hear normal conversation while blocking the harmful wind frequencies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
