It was fun while it lasted - slolane_imp - 07-18-2017 I just got back from a 10 day 4,000 mile trip thru Utah and Colorado on Sunday. I was in the Slingshot the wife on her VFR1200. We stopped at the Honda dealer Monday there she was a 13 level 2 candy red Goldwing. My son ( a salesman at the dealer ) said they just got it Saturday and Monday was the first day on the lot. Well I was not looking for a new bike as a matter of fact I told my wife I was real comfortable in the sling and happy to have the CB1100 to ride at home. Bottom line I traded my 13 CB with 2455 miles for a 13 wing with 6000 miles. The deal was just to good to pass up so this is good bye and thank you all. I didn't post much but learned a lot about the CB. I had a wing for 12 years before the CB so I guess once a winger always a winger. I am keeping the Slingshot because its so much fun to hot rod but the wing is a wing and the deal was to good to pass up. Keep the rubber side down my friends and if you see a Goldwing guy wave at a CB it might be me. RE: It was fun while it lasted - gtmn_imp - 07-18-2017 this isnt a stab your way but gold wing guys wave? not in MN bmw guys still have the wing guys beat though i intentionally wave early to both just so i can make fun i mean congrats on your purchase i mean congrats on your purchase RE: It was fun while it lasted - Cormanus - 07-18-2017 Congratulations on the purchase slolane. DOn't be a stranger. When you've racked up a few miles on the Wing drop in and tell us what you think of it. RE: It was fun while it lasted - the Ferret - 07-18-2017 Wings are fine motorcycles. NO need to apologize for buying one. Glad you were able to enjoy your time on the Cb and here on the forum Have fun, ride safe RE: It was fun while it lasted - Lord Popgun - 07-18-2017 Congrats Slolane! What does Level 2 mean? RE: It was fun while it lasted - the Ferret - 07-18-2017 You know first floor, second floor. Its a bi- level wing. RE: It was fun while it lasted - Lord Popgun - 07-18-2017 Considering the size of the seat on those bikes, I can believe that

After having both hips replaced I thought my big bike days were over hence the CB. But I feel strong again and feel I can handle the wing again. RE: It was fun while it lasted - 4 Paws_imp - 07-18-2017 Wife has a VFR1200! Wow. A wing is a very good bike for serious riding. Enjoy. |
