Trading In the CB for a CB - Toddman_imp - 07-22-2017 Like most of you here, I've owned many bikes and have ridden for years. I was at the dealership yesterday talking to a high school buddy who is a salesman there. I was looking at the new GSXR1000 and next to it was the hand made Honda 1000 SP with Ohlins suspension. Yeah right, if only. But there was something else. A CB1000R.... So, in four days when my CB comes in (LOL), the 11 will be traded to the shop. If I had the cash, I'd keep the 11. I've never experienced the reaction that people have when they see that bike. It's almost as if it calls to them to come and look. It's the most unpretentious motorcycle out there today and it truly looks like a "resto-mod". Thanks for all of the technical help. There are great articles here and this site is a jewel. Cheers, Todd Oh, I'm taking a week vacation in August to see the solar eclipse and make my way through Missouri, Arkansas and back to Oklahoma. I'll let you know how the CB1000R behaves. RE: Trading In the CB for a CB - Cormanus - 07-23-2017 Congratulations on the new ride, Toddman. Sorry to see another CB go, but that's how it goes. You've been around long enough to know the drum: even if you're not riding a CB1100, stick around. We like people who like bikes and are always interested to hear about other types. Not to mention reading good ride reports. |
