wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - 1973cb750 - 10-16-2025 i am needing help designing drawing a tone ring to be laser cut from stainless the od is 137mm id is 102mm 60 rectangles of the 3mmx8mm size rounded corners also on the od i am going to need 4 ears with mounting holes 136mm center to center ill have measurements for their id soon this is for a possible wheel swap for a 17inch rear wheel and a 17 or 19 inch front here is an example their are 60 flats on the ring on the cb1100 not holes if that makes sense ![]() now that i read it the bolt circle will not work i may just have to make a hub adapter to use the oem tone ring maybe we can draw a hub to mount the cb1100 tone ring to a flange that uses a 4 bolt 136mm adapter basically pcd of the 3 bolt on the cb1100 ring is 80mm holes are 5.3mm RE: lazer cad cutting idk - 1973cb750 - 10-16-2025 ![]()
RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - pekingduck - 10-16-2025 What wheels are you planning on using? RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - 1973cb750 - 10-16-2025 This rear is a cb500f 2016 front I’m gona try a cb500x 19 front hopefully i can make them fit This rear s a 17” RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - 1973cb750 - 10-17-2025 another video of fitment of cb500f 2016 wheel RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - peterbaron - 10-17-2025 (10-17-2025, 10:55 AM)1973cb750 Wrote: another video of fitment of cb500f 2016 wheel Good job and good luck with your successful completion!!! RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - pekingduck - 10-17-2025 I would make a thin steel disc that covers the CB500X's rear ABS pulser disc and has 3 holes to align with the one from the CB1100. You could braze. silver solder, rivet or bolt them together. You would have to assemble the wheel into the swingarm first to determine the critical spacing of the pulser disc and the pickup. Then you could then, with a little trial and error, make 3 identical length spacers (plastic, aluminum, steel) to fit it. Once the proper height is determined, you could make the final spacers of steel, thread them then braze/silver solder into place. RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - 1973cb750 - 10-18-2025 that could work as well i found a place that can make the sprocket spacers easy enough if i could get help making a drawing of the hub for the reluctor i bet that would be a easy turn also for some one else if they ever needed to make one for other honda 4 bolt brake disc wheels RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - dave - 10-18-2025 (10-16-2025, 11:57 AM)1973cb750 Wrote: Creating a 3D model for this ring that could then be used for CNC machining is actually very easy. I would do it for you, but I'm retired, and don't have access to a computer with 3D modeling capability. CATIA is the most common 3D modeling software out there, used by almost all of the aerospace industries in the states, and abroad. If you don't personally know anybody with access to CATIA software, I bet you could go to your local college campus that teaches engineering, and find a student willing to work with you on this. An experienced modeler could create a 3D model of this part in less than one hour. Our local college (San Diego City College) even has the ability to create a 3D printed part (plastic), which would be a good idea to do for fitting and size purposes before you contract a machine shop to build you your final part. RE: wheel swap cad cnc lazer reluctor for speed sensor - 1973cb750 - 10-21-2025 bad news i think this swap is a fail the drive hubs wont exactly with either wheel o well only 80 bucks into the wheel |
