2017 CB1100EX vs 2017 CB1100RS - rdprdp01 - 08-11-2025 A great article comparing the differences between two models. I hope it will helps those members living outside of the United States consider the possibilities. I've also owned two bikes simultaneously: a 2013 STD and a 2014 STD for two weeks, and a 2014 STD and a 2014 DLX for over two years. From my experience, I can say this: I don't see or feel any difference between riding the 2013 STD and 2014 STD, but I would say the 2014 DLX is easier to ride.

I find the DLX 'heavier' in turns and just does not feel as nimble as the EX. So many of the longer members of the Forum seem to favor the DLX, but maybe they have not ridden an EX long enough or at all. After reading this, maybe I should be selling my DLX, not my EX. RE: 2017 CB1100EX vs 2017 CB1100RS - peterbaron - 08-11-2025 Michael, you should know better than anyone, ride both the DLX and the EX, and share your thoughts with us before you decide to sell either one. I don't know exactly. At lower speeds and highway speeds, I find my DLX easier to steer and control around corners than the previous STD models from 2013 and 2014. Maybe it's just an illusion, but it's crossed my mind a few times, so I guess it's true? |
