Forum Member Location Map - Cormanus - 06-17-2025 Member kennyw created a map showing members' locations. Here's his post with instructions and a link to the map. kennyw Wrote:I have created a map that users can add themselves to. I would suggest only giving city/state information. You can add your username in the description field as an option. RE: Forum Member Location Map - Gone in 60 - 06-18-2025 This is pretty cool! I entered my info, and I see my dot on the map, but my name isn't next to it. Is that because I'm looking at my own dot? I have adjusted all of the browser settings I know to adjust to be able to make that selection. Please advise and I am sorry for the trouble. RE: Forum Member Location Map - Cormanus - 06-19-2025 OK. I wondered when Gone said earlier that he was having trouble seeing his name whether the map had reached capacity, but I don't think it has. So, let's see if these extra instructions make sense ...
Gone in 60, I have moved your mark from the North American Rallys box to the North America box and — for no reason I can give — your name has appeared beside your little blue peg at the intersection of North Lemon Street and West Chapman Avenue adjacent to the Orange Street Car Memorial and bang on top of NP Shah Notarary. Hope the above helps. If it's not clear, let me know, and I'll include some screen shots. PS, I didn't know this until a moment ago: you can search for a member by typing their name into the search box. If they have put their location on the map, they'll appear in the list of options. RE: Forum Member Location Map - Gone in 60 - 06-19-2025 Thanks, Cormanus! Interesting location for my dot. Right next to my favorite burrito place in town! I like it! I like it! I managed to register with my iPhone. I struggled with my Laptop, which I have locked down like Fort Knox! Thanks. David RE: Forum Member Location Map - Gone in 60 - 06-19-2025 I got my info set up on my burner laptop. Only use to chat with you guys and Mom. Interesting, I took the liberty of renaming your marker from 'Pleasanton' to rdprdp01, and moving it from the rally section to the North America section. I could not do it on any of the 3 browsers I have on my iPad, but easy in Firefox on a laptop. All that being as it may, I use Google MyMaps quite a lot and it can be temperamental and unforgiving so it's not totally surprising that you had trouble.
