Levers too far away - mrhondaCB1100_imp - 05-30-2018
Even with the stock adjustable levers, my 70 year old hands seem to be straining to get a good pull on the clutch lever, especially. Does anyone recommend some kind of dogleg levers that are closer to the bars?

Yeah, you may wanna ask Cormanus or the ferret if they can add some displacement to your 'handle'. The old hotrodders had an adage: "there's no replacement for displacement."

Well, this didn't seem to be a popular or common question, so I took the situation into my own hands and modified the stock lever to come closer to the handlebars in the #5 position.
Basically, I drove the center bushing out of the lever using the pivot screw/bolt, then disassembled the whole assembly. The main mod was to file down the lever boss that holds the little contact pad which meets the adjustment knob. I ground it down about 1/8" or so, deepened the counterbored hole with a 4mm drill bit, took a little bit off the face of the knob flats and reassembled. Fits me just fine now....
