On the hunt for a shoei NEOTEC - NickLHG_imp - 01-12-2020 Looking into purchasing the cardo packtalk slim and I’ve come to realize it isn’t supposed to work with a shoei rf1200 (what a shame). Doesn’t seem to work with the NEOTEC 2 either.. but it works with the rf sr (or whatever that helmet is). I prefer the look of the older NEOTEC compared to the rfsr, I’m trying to track down one of those helmets. I found some going for around 200.00 but it isn’t a secured site and won’t risk issues with my credit card. I do plan to get the helmet painted oem candy alizarin red to match my dlx. If anyone knows where I can buy one of those that’d be awesome! Thanks guys! Still waiting on my bike to be delivered.. too bad it’s all icy outside. Hopefully the weather gets a little better soon here RE: On the hunt for a shoei NEOTEC - the Ferret - 01-12-2020 why not a white helmet for safety? RE: On the hunt for a shoei NEOTEC - GoldOxide_imp - 01-12-2020 New helmet technology emerging with dome hemispheres lighting up with low glow, flash bright left or right sides, and solid bright for stopping at the rear of the helmet. It appears the helmet paint is reacting to an electrical signal. RE: On the hunt for a shoei NEOTEC - emptysea - 01-12-2020 Thought this video might be of use. Seems like it’s not too big of a hassle to get the pack talk slim to work with th rf1200 https://youtu.be/0dW5uy4qcUM RE: On the hunt for a shoei NEOTEC - NickLHG_imp - 01-12-2020 (01-12-2020, 02:02 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: why not a white helmet for safety? I called the shop and I was told if I purchase a helmet to get it painted go with the silver as it’ll be a byte case compared to white.. if there isn’t a silver, go with the white. The price would be about 350.00 to paint the helmet.. quite a lot but down the road could be nice. (01-12-2020, 02:39 AM)EmptySea_imp Wrote: Thought this video might be of use. I was looking for a more retro looking helmet with a snell rating but hopefully one that fits the slim.. I’m sure I could rig the rf1200 but it does seem like a pain. There’s always the hjc c17 if I can find that in a size medium somewhere... plus it’s more of a candy red so I can skip the paint job |
