Bike Bandit - LongRanger_imp - 11-11-2020 I've heard from an undisclosed source that Bike Bandit may be closing its doors shortly, or at a minimum, selling off the business. I'm not suggesting that any outstanding orders may not be filled, but just be aware in case you're considering buying something from them. RE: Bike Bandit - Roper_imp - 11-11-2020 Does that mean we can get some killer deals? RE: Bike Bandit - flynrider - 11-11-2020 Well, that's a shame. I've ordered a lot of stuff from them over the years (parts, tires, windshields...) and they've always been fast and efficient. Sorry to see them go. RE: Bike Bandit - Gone in 60 - 11-11-2020 I keep getting their Holiday Insanity emails. Just looked over their site to see if I have any Bandit Bucks hanging out there... none of the deals look all that insane. RE: Bike Bandit - GoldOxide_imp - 11-11-2020 An online store going down? Not often you hear that. Wonder what they did wrong? RE: Bike Bandit - bflint - 11-12-2020 I can only add that the new owner (aka son of original owner) was an idiot. They had two Veys stores in San Diego (one died last year). The second is an armpit of mismanagement (he hired a bunch of littler girls (20 somethings) to run the place ... wonder that that was about ... drove service dept into the ground. Bike Bandit was their offshoot so I suppose the mismanagement followed it also. RE: Bike Bandit - Houtman_imp - 11-12-2020 You can NEVER blame the customers when a business goes under , you have to give them reasons to spend their money with your company , whatever you are making or selling. A restaurant in my little community recently went out of business. It was in a really good location. I ate there a few times. The service was slow. The food was mediocre at best. The prices were on the high side. I never saw more than three cars parked there. Half a block away, there's an Arctic Circle. They're fast. They're cheap. Food quality is about the same as the other place. They're always busy, no matter what time of day or night. The first place didn't go out of business because of a lack of customers. They went out of business for the exact reason you stated, Houtman. They didn't give customers a reason to spend their money there, instead of at their competitor's. |
