COTA MotoGP Texas.***SPOILER ALERT - CB4ME_imp - 04-21-2017 Vinales kicked butt in FP1 but Marquez topped the timesheets in FP2. Zarco came in a strong second followed by Vinales. Rossi 4th and Pedrosa 5th. Lorenzo has to run in Q1 with an 11th place finish. The media hype says COTA is make or break time for Marquez. I'm not sure if I'd go that far but another DNF would be ugly. MotoAmerica is beginning their season at COTA. BeIn Sports is covering their races too. COTA.. America's Moto Gp Sunday - the Ferret - 04-21-2017 Qualifying is on twice Sat night 5:00 - 7:00 PM and 9-10 pm Looks like race is on twice Sunday 5:00 pm - 6:30pm and 8:30-9-30 Ch 620 BEin Sports At least that's what I am reading Just heard from DAC who is out there with his daughter. They are having a great time. He said both Vinales and Marquez are very fast as well as Zarco. RE: COTA Weekend! MotoGP in Texas. - the Ferret - 04-22-2017 results from FP#3 Pos. If you have one of those new- fangled iPads or mobile phones, or a computer, go to the app store, download the beIn Sports app, authenticate that you are a subscriber to a pay TV service (DirecTV counts) and you will see that they serve 9 or so streams of programming on the app. Number 6 is generally dedicated to motorcycle racing. So when they are not showing Moto America on the cable channel, or you want to watch live practice without commentary, you'll find it there. Check the schedule on the app. RE: COTA Weekend! MotoGP in Texas. - the Ferret - 04-22-2017 Cool I will get my kid to help me look into that. Thanks Just watched qualifying.. Looks like Marquez is on pole, followed by Vinales and Rossi PEdrosa, Zarco and suprise Lorenzo on second row RE: COTA Weekend! MotoGP in Texas. - DAC - 04-22-2017 Was a fantastic day at COTA. Cold day for racing though - we basically froze. I'll have to say it's a bit more of an interesting track than Indy. Very hilly. It's been quite the crash fest so far, with turn 2 collecting several unsuspecting riders, including Marc. Hope we don't have more DNFs as CB4ME said. Got to see Crutchlow, Miller, Marquez and Pedroza in a little Honda tent Q&A thing. Cal whined about the bumps and said they shouldn't allow cars on the track. He said the track was "s**t". *sigh* The other riders were more circumspect. I'd have to say that Dani is the crowd favorite. As for the racing, Lorenzo worked hard to improve through the day to finish on the second row and Rossi was also peaking at the right time to end up in third after running no better than p8 to p10. It's a packed front two rows with the usual suspects and the newcomer Zarco. Should be fun tomorrow! RE: COTA Weekend! MotoGP in Texas. - the Ferret - 04-22-2017 Cool that you and your daughter are there in person. Have fun tomorrow, and safe travels home. |
