Babys first bath - the Ferret - 05-13-2014 Picked my 14 DLX up about 6 weeks and 1200 miles ago. Yesterday there was a water main break up in town and I was forced to ride thru it, then later with a 30% chance of spotty showers I got caught in the rain. My baby got dirty. Time for her first bath. Wouldn't fit in the sink so she got her bath out in the drive. Not something we see much of here in the desert. ![]() My bike got its first bath a few weeks ago, right after its first birthday. Babys first bath - Ridem32_imp - 05-13-2014 Use the trusty leaf blower to get all the water out where you can't dry with a chamo RE: Babys first bath - the Ferret - 05-13-2014 Lol I use a 20 mile ride at 55 mph. Way more fun than a leaf blower. Babys first bath - Ridem32_imp - 05-13-2014 I use to do it that way but then I started using a leaf blower. On my Harley everytime I did the ride to dry water always dripped from my controls and cluster and would put water streaks in my gas tank. Now I just use my trusty green rag
RE: Babys first bath - the Ferret - 05-13-2014 Yea I put a rag in my back pocket and stop and wipe the blown water drips about 5 miles out. I think it's better for the brakes to be ridden and used to dry them out. RE: Babys first bath - Damfino_imp - 05-13-2014 Bike looks great Mickey, but I also have to compliment your lovely landscaping too!

I use a California Car Duster about once a week to keep it sparkling like new. |
