HONDA IN EUROPE - peterbaron - 12-09-2017 While in Europe last week, I visited Honda dealer for pure reason: 2017 CB1100 RS/ABS Here is my private opinion:: .... if you park RS beside any other CB1100, there is no doubt that : CB1100 is an undisputed winner due to its classic look, perfect harmony with a modern touch of technology. RS looks too heavy & too massive, like a "bulldog" type motorcycle with its 17" mags, too modern/skinny turn signals do not add up to its overall look.... FEW RS - ABS SPECS:: tank/16.8 L/4.44 gal, 2 front discs of 310 mm/12.2" with double-4 piston calipers, seat height 795 mm/31.3", frt tire 120/70/17, massive rear tire 180/55/17, 2 colors available - graphite black and candy prominence red - both with black fenders (EX models were in 3 colors; candy prominence red, pearl sunbeam white & pearl shining yellow - all with chrome fenders) [url=https://postimg.org/image/4vz2kb2sn/]https://postimg.org/image/4vz2kb2sn/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/6ns1fcbwn/]https://postimg.org/image/6ns1fcbwn/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/i04mx5013/]https://postimg.org/image/i04mx5013/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/dqzwuzc7b/]https://postimg.org/image/dqzwuzc7b/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/5y9932bdz/]https://postimg.org/image/5y9932bdz/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/4vz2kid53/]https://postimg.org/image/4vz2kid53/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/haluktp7r/]https://postimg.org/image/haluktp7r/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/9hv6sv6dz/]https://postimg.org/image/9hv6sv6dz/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/d1h4ipbon/]https://postimg.org/image/d1h4ipbon/ [url=https://postimg.org/image/ipnf9lvgn/]https://postimg.org/image/ipnf9lvgn/ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>... RE: HONDA IN EUROPE - pdedse - 12-11-2017 I have '14 standard, so black, and think that the engine covers might have looked nice unpainted. But that's it. This RS with the silver swing-arm and chain guard is too much as seen from the left side. It looks mostly black forward and mostly silver towards the rear; as a result, the left side pipe gets "lost" among the silver. Personally, I don't like total black CB = frame, wheels, f/forks, covers, entire engine and definitely black fenders = too much... but this is my point of view...and this is why, I have not traded in my '13 for completely black '16 CB (Canadian)...and still balancing whether to get 2014 or 2017...spring will resolve this issue for sure..unless Honda will surprise me with 2018 CB edition ![]() pb RE: HONDA IN EUROPE - pdedse - 12-11-2017 (12-11-2017, 03:34 AM)peterbaron_imp Wrote:(12-11-2017, 01:42 AM)pdedse_imp Wrote: I have '14 standard, so black, and think that the engine covers might have looked nice unpainted. I just don't like red! I know, wrong company. I do wish they would bring that gold that someone posted a week ago from Japan. RE: HONDA IN EUROPE - Cormanus - 12-11-2017 pdedse, I think the only way to get a gold one is to do the Whitehouse modifications or have your tank resprayed. RE: HONDA IN EUROPE - Lord Popgun - 12-11-2017 You can get the Whitehouse gold tank and side covers for the very reasonable price of $2633.20. https://www.samurider.com/?p=14293/#itemImage The whole kit is more. Heck, that tank/side cover price is bad enough! |
