Sturgis Rally - Bbref36_imp - 08-02-2013 if anyone is coming to the Sturgis Rally and gets a chance to swing by Spearfish (12 miles away) stop in to Outdoor Motor Sports and say hi. My name is mark and I'm in sales Here. Would love to meet any CB owners. Here's to a long next 8 days. Mark aka bbref36. RE: Sturgis Rally - the Ferret - 08-03-2013 Arrr Matey...unless you are a Honda/ Harley dealer I imaginevyour shop is going to be a lonelyi place for sure lol RE: Sturgis Rally - Scoobynut_imp - 08-03-2013 Hi Mark, you may recall meeting my son and I about three weeks ago at Outdoor Motor Sports. My name is John and his name is Dylan, remember? I'm heading down to the Black Hills on Sunday to attend a vintage bike show in Custer, but am heading over toward Sundance, WY, to stay in Newcastle, WY, for the night. I thought about heading there via Spearfish Canyon, but figured all the rally-goers on their Harleys and cruisers will be wobbling through the canyon at about 25 mph, so...am going to avoid the Hills as much as possible, except when I ride from Newcastle over to Custer. Anyways, it was nice meeting you, a fellow CB1100 owner, and I would encourage any other owners or forum members to swing by and meet Mark. He didn't even try to sell me a bike! BTW, I loved that desert camo Ural you had on the floor.

We sold 33 of our 73 bikes for the month during rally week last year. Our service dept is always swamped and we see lots of folks come through the door. Fun but a long two weeks w/o a day off. RE: Sturgis Rally - the Ferret - 08-03-2013 Really, that surprises me. I would think the heavy influx of harley related crowd would hurt your business. Interesting. Two weeks without a day off? Ugghhhh RE: Sturgis Rally - Bbref36_imp - 08-05-2013 (08-03-2013, 01:58 AM)Scoobynut_imp Wrote: Hi Mark, you may recall meeting my son and I about three weeks ago at Outdoor Motor Sports. A wise choice to avoid the canyon, it will be packed. The Urals are cool, really unique. I can get u a good deal on the desert camo........mn RE: Sturgis Rally - Scoobynut_imp - 08-05-2013 (08-05-2013, 01:41 PM)Bbref36_imp Wrote:(08-03-2013, 01:58 AM)Scoobynut_imp Wrote: Hi Mark, you may recall meeting my son and I about three weeks ago at Outdoor Motor Sports. When I get a place down in the Black Hills, I am going to seriously consider getting the Ural for gravel road and trail cruising. You'll be the first person I talk to when the time comes! |
