Country Cruisin' - redbirds_imp - 05-04-2014 Weather was about as perfect for a ride as one could ask for today so we took a loop of some nice roads in Pierce and surrounding counties. Country Cruisin' - Cormanus - 05-04-2014 Fantastic pics. Thanks Redbirds. RE: Country Cruisin' - the Ferret - 05-04-2014 (05-04-2014, 02:18 PM)Cormanus_imp Wrote: Fantastic pics. Thanks Redbirds. +1 and it's nice that your lady enjoys riding as well. My wife just gave up piloting her own a few weeks ago and is giving me her Majesty. At 62 with an artificial hip and 2 artificial knees she just doesn't feel confident anymore. She will still ride behind me (she has been trusting me for 42 years), but I'm afraid fear of getting hurt has ended her solo pilot career. She had a good run (she started riding her own street bike in 1986 and rode dirt bikes since 1973). RE: Country Cruisin' - Rick Froscheiser_imp - 05-04-2014 Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. RE: Country Cruisin' - StackMan_imp - 05-04-2014 Nice Pictures! Pretty countryside to cruse in. How do you like the unpaved roads? I avoid them myself but think if you keep it slow they are probably fine. Those of us who have a spouse that shares our passion for bikes, whether as a solo rider or passenger, are indeed fortunate. My wife thought she would have to give up riding a few years ago because of chronic shoulder and back pain that was accompanied by occasional vision loss. Surgery to correct what was diagnosed as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome completely cured the condition and has allowed her to keep riding. (05-04-2014, 11:57 PM)StackMan_imp Wrote: Nice Pictures! We have one mile of unpaved, county maintained road from our gate to the nearest pavement so riding on dirt is something we do every time we go out. The road is in decent shape now because recent rains have caused it to pack down. Extended periods of dry weather can make for deep sand in some sections that can test the off road worthy-ness of any bike. Glad to say that the CB handles light off road duty very well as long as ground clearance isn't a factor. |
