You guys wont believe this - the Ferret - 07-09-2014 True story, I swear! So brother and I are out riding today, he on his Bonneville, me on my CB. He was leading, me following. Over the intercom he says " we have dogs in the road up here" so I start slowing down. I look ahead of him and there are 2 black and white Australian Shepard's and what looks like a small black dog. As we get close they all trot off the road to our left and the small black dog is...I kid you not.... a small pot bellied pig. It's like the shepards were looking after the little pig. He was a cute little thing. Strangest thing I have ever seen while riding. RE: You guys wont believe this - Randy B - 07-09-2014 Strangest thing I have ever seen was a car coming into me and knocking me over and then flopping around as I rolled on the ground until I came to rest on the shoulder.....true story (just sayin).
RE: You guys wont believe this - Cormanus - 07-09-2014 Great story, Ferret. I'd not heard of the Australian Shepherd breed before so I [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Shepherd]looked it up. Seems likely it was bred in the US. How about that? RE: You guys wont believe this - ThomWill_imp - 07-09-2014 :-D that is awesome! The weirdest thing I have ever seen while riding was in San Francisco. It was raining and my wife and I had donned our matching blue Frogg Togg rain suits. I bought them big so they would fit over lots of gear, but they do tend to fill up with air. We looked over and there was a carload of girls taking our pictures with cell phones as they passed... two giant, flappy blueberries. Wait, I guess that would be the strangest we ever looked while riding, never mind. We did see a camel next to the road once. My wife and I went to Little Australia in Kentucky and they were using them to herd sheep. I assumed they were from Australia. RE: You guys wont believe this - The Spaceman_imp - 07-09-2014 Awww! RE: You guys wont believe this - CIP57_imp - 07-09-2014 I have 48 acres of prime shrubs for deer, at dusk i find deer, wild turkey, rabbits all hanging out together in a circle. When i drive up close none of them even move except a turkey or two may open up as a defense. I just sit there with my wife and watch for a few minutes, the must be having on a conversation. You could have stopped your story right there and it still would'a made sense! ![]()

American breed. After looking at pics the dogs could have been border collies. The dogs were black with white chests. The pig was grey all over lol. Wish I had gotten a pic, but by the time we realized it was a pig until it got off the road into the weeds was about 3 or 4 seconds, and I was still using the clutch and brakes. Definitely an unusual sight! RE: You guys wont believe this - Guth_imp - 07-10-2014 Ferret, as I read your post, I thought for sure that you were going to say that the dogs began chasing you and that the little pot bellied pig was somehow managing to keep up with them. |
