Chasing color 2 - the Ferret - 10-18-2014

From todays ride..been a week since chasing color 1 thread so thought I'd try and find some more. Would help the brilliance of the pics if the sun came out, but it's been like London around here lately. I think it's rained at least part of each day for 8 days in a row, and temps have been in the 40's and 50's.. Hasn't made for pleasant riding

Those colors would have really stood out but for a little sunshine. Beautiful all the same. You folks are fortunate to have the lovey autumn foliage. Thanks for the great pics Mickey.

Great pics. Starting the chase here in just a few minutes. Hope I can get a few photos as good as these.

Great pictures and colors. I think our colors in the Chicago area are the best they have been in many years. I was wondering what windscreen are you running? I assume it is a National Cycle screen and how do you like it. Thanks

RE: Chasing color 2 - the Ferret - 10-21-2014

drodg..yes it's a National Cycle Street Shield EX. It gives me good protection from shoulder to shoulder and waist to eye port on helmet (I'm around 5'6"). With it being at this height there is a fair amount of "buffeting" or general wind buffeting noise, but to get it down to clean air on my helmet I would have to cut it down 4 or 5 ".

CIP did that to his shield and says it's now a perfect 3 season shield. I only run a shield in the 4th season (winter) so I think I will just leave it full height, get the most protection, and put up with the noise. It's not like the noise drives me crazy or anything and most of the time I don't pay any attention to it. Just got in from a 40 mile ride in the low 50's and sprinkling off and on, so it's a damp cold, and I enjoy the extra protection in times like that.
