Last Blast goes to the beach - Pterodactyl_imp - 03-26-2015 Seat time? General Discussion or Todays Weather? Tosses coin, tosses coin again. Seat Time wins. This morning I took a quick five minute ride to Coogee Beach. I could have walked but thought it would be good to take Last Blast to the beach. ![]() ![]() I took those photos and then went for a swim. The air temperature was 26deg C. and water temperature 23deg C. with a light south westerly breeze and clear sky. ![]() Alas, I was perturbed by the number of young women who, despite being warned of the dangers of too much sun, brown themselves while wearing costumes that, quite frankly, are next to nothing. Disgraceful. I will continue to monitor this situation closely. Cheers RE: Last Blast goes to the beach - Cormanus - 03-26-2015 Thanks, Pterodactyl for stepping up for the jobs that few others want to take on. But, you know the rule: photos or it didn't happen! Last Blast looks good. What's the bit of paper between the instruments and the screen? Parking permit? RE: Last Blast goes to the beach - Pterodactyl_imp - 03-26-2015 Parking permit for the PI campground. Haven't got around to getting to off yet. Probably needs WD40 or spirit. As for photos, no way! I don't need some young Amazon bashing me to death on Coogee beach. Cheers. RE: Last Blast goes to the beach - flynrider - 03-26-2015 Beautiful pics, Ptero! Must be nice to have such a nice spot just a 5 minute ride away. Looks like a perfect day. Looks like a perfect day. It is. And there is more. But, on the other hand, it is 45mins to the nearest good ride (Royal National Park). Ferret and Cormanus, amongst others on this forum, have good riding country on their doorstep. Swings and roundabouts I think it's called. Cheers mate. RE: Last Blast goes to the beach - the Ferret - 03-26-2015 Nice. and yes, I'd rather have the curves outside the doorstep than the beach. Truth is I have never enjoyed the beach/ocean. I used to live in Florida, and it was just a few minutes ride to the beach. Pretty to look at, but I have never liked the smell of the ocean, don't like swimming in salt water, don't like blistering hot sand, don't like seaweed and don't like not being able to see down into the water, and the wave tow is just plain weird feeling. Girls do dress a little more provocatively at the beach which is nice, but not all of them should. Same for men. Guess that's why I love the mountains, and riding into the mountains is always a great experience. My wife would much rather go to the mountains too. She doesn't care for the beach much either. RE: Last Blast goes to the beach - redbirds_imp - 03-26-2015 Beautiful seaside Ptero. I grew up in Florida within walking distance of the ocean and sometimes I regret moving away. Last Blast is looking pristine. RE: Last Blast goes to the beach - Rocky_imp - 03-26-2015 Great pictures, but all that sunshine and those beach shots are killing me as I await the melting of all the ice and snow that is piled up around me. But it will melt....eventually....and I'll be back on the road....soon.....I hope

Good on ya Rocky. Get the bike ready and also make sure your camera is ready. I will look forward to it. Cheers |
