DAY RIDES - Nortoon_imp - 07-11-2019 I have 120 printed road maps I made from Google Maps. Some are my roads from home to my jumping off points. But the majority are just my favourite roads to ride. Each has the distance and time on them. Like a deck of cards I pick them out to set a different route for each of my day rides. I then print a schedule using Excel to set the time needed to reach my breakfast stop, morning rest stop, lunch and gas stop, afternoon rest stop, and time to home. Having this many maps ensures I seldom ride the same route. If I get bored I ride the route in reverse. Amazing how different routes can look just by reversing direction. THIS IS THE FIRST HOUR AND HALF OF MY DAY-RIDE ON TUESDAY. Riding on the Five Arch Stone Bridge over the Mississippi River at Pakenham an hour from home. The north shore of White Lake. The Burnstown Bridge over the Madawaska River. Renfrew for breakfast an hour and a half from home. RE: DAY RIDES - Cormanus - 07-11-2019 Great photos Nortoon. RE: DAY RIDES - the Ferret - 07-11-2019 Looks like a great loop. Bet you are glad to finally be out riding! RE: DAY RIDES - Rocky_imp - 07-11-2019 Great pictures. I had no idea there was a Mississippi in Canada. RE: DAY RIDES - Nortoon_imp - 07-12-2019 (07-11-2019, 09:23 PM)The ferret_imp Wrote: Looks like a great loop. Bet you are glad to finally be out riding! This was only the first hour and half of a 8AM to 5PM day ride. It did feel great. First real long ride this year.
