What about a "Sissy Bar" - JeffsCB_imp - 08-09-2013

Has anybody come across a "Sissy Bar" (low to medium height) for the CB1100? My wife will not ride with me unless there is something behind her (can't say I blame her). I had a medium (12 inch) sissy bar on by 76 CB750 (back in the day), and a low one (8 inch) on my Triumph Adventurer 900 (this one had a small luggage rack behind it which was just ideal). I have been looking around but can't seem to find anything. Of course a Tail Box would do the trick, but it is just not as cool!! Any help is appreciated.

Or you could always lay out the dough for a Corbin seat, and have them leave the backrest hole in... and then the dough for a backrest for it. That's "only" $682 if you buy an actual Corbin backrest. Rolleyes You can get less attractive knockoffs of the Corbin backrest for $40-100 instead of $229.

I would actually get the Corbin seat for the CB, if they'd managed to squeeze a driver backrest slot onto it. In the meantime, I'll do all my longer rides on my Warrior and the Corbin dual-tour I managed to buy off the RSW forums for much cheaper than new. My g/f is much more comfortable on the back of that than the CB.

I'm not terribly impressed with the design or looks of the Alurack, although it may be the only off-the- shelf rack with sissy bar currently offered for the CB1100. It has lots of tubes going every which way and is pretty small but not unobtrusive. As much as I'd like to accomodate my wife. she has settled for a filled roll bag firmly attached to the OEM rear carrier.

That Givi rack looks nice. How does it mount? I can't tell exactly by the picture.
