So, a few months ago I ordered a Cozy Seat (I loved the looks!) from Japan, but mistakenly ordered the "low" version. I've mentioned in other threads that I found myself sitting on the downward slope of the rear of the seat.

I considered buying the tall Cozy Seat, or ordering the K&H, but decided to search locally. I found a local upholsterer who would take my Cozy Seat, build-up the driver's portion, and change the look to match the K&H (I supplied many photos from this site---thanks guys!!).

For $275, it turned out fine. The material feels like suede, and he did a great job with the grab strap.

I haven't even ridden the bike yet, but I'll give a ride report if it turns out to be great or sh!++y.

Okay, just got home from day shift. I've now had two rides on the bike, about 200 miles total. I'm liking the seat.

In addition to the re-done seat, I also installed the low Buell footpegs. So the seat--peg distance is now about 21 1/2". As a reference, the seat--peg distance on my ST13 is about 20". I'd say the seat is now easily 1 1/2--2" higher than stock.

I always wear Sidi boots while riding, and my 32" inseam is just about taxed when flat footing the bike at stops.

The best thing I'm liking is that no matter where I plant my butt on the seat, it's flat. I'm not limited to an area of the seat due to a curve, rise, etc.

Between the cost of the Cozy Seat, and then having the local guy re-do it to the looks/height of the K&H, I paid about as much as the K&H (if not a little more). But, it's done, and I'm very happy with the seat height, and the way it looks.
