those that have used the buell pegs - scott will_imp - 09-12-2013 the firebolt xe are what im seeing for the driver pegs , that right ? did they require any modification. do you like the them better? thanks RE: those that have used the buell pegs - silascopathic_imp - 09-12-2013 I can tell you that I have them but I haven't installed them yet as they need to be ground down to fit. Just a minor amount. They definitely lower your foot about an inch though. RE: those that have used the buell pegs - thumper_imp - 09-12-2013 The mounting areas of the Buell peg need to be ground down a little bit, not only to fit within the bike's mounts, but also to get the proper angle on the pegs (so they sit 90 degrees perpendicular to the bike). I removed the hero tabs from the bottom of mine. I haven't noticed any loss of cornering clearance, as the stock pegs had quite a bit of material (both rubber and metal), under them. Between my aftermarket (much higher) seat, and the Buell pegs, my seat-to-peg distance is now about 22". For comparison, my ST1300, which is very comfortable, is about 20.5". |
