The 1100 is finally out of hibernation - Rocky_imp - 06-09-2019 This spring has been exceptionally cool and very wet. A lot of that rain that is plaguing the U.S. mid west often ends up here. Normally all my bikes are out by 1 May, but not this year. I rolled out my vintage BSA three weeks ago and had a couple of club rides on it, but since the weather has been so terrible I wasn't in a great hurry to roll out the 1100 or the 919. Today, it dawned sunny and bright for a change and will be so for a few days so today was the day for the roll-out from my basement. I turned the key, touched the starter and the 1100 roared to life as it always does- almost instantly -and after sitting still since 1 November 2018. I've always been impressed at how quickly this bike starts. The 919 has been sitting that long too and it only took a second to come to life once more. The Bonneville is next, but can wait a bit longer. While we often have lousy spring weather, the only saving grace is that we usually have great riding weather in the fall. The Honda's are poised ready to ride and all is now right with the world

Thanks ferret, our season is relatively short so fingers are crossed for a decent summer and many miles of smiles. No road trips are planned, just local riding and around the province. We have many winding and twisty secondary coastal roads here with no traffic so I don't have to go far the enjoy a "spirited" ride
