license mod.....Chip Beck syle - fredkb_imp - 03-30-2014 The first thing I did when I got a chance, was to remove the large license bracket. Thanks Chip for sharing. Everyone thinks it looks much better now. I hope to get my tag in the mail soon and I will get a thinner black frame for tag. ![]() ![]() I have been off of work and playing on tapatalk. Sorry if I have become annoying, ha ha. Posting pictures is habit forming. If you have problems posting pictures, like I did, download Tapatalk on your smart phone and it makes it easy. RE: license mod.....Chip Beck syle - fredkb_imp - 03-31-2014 I work on Yamaha outboards at Crowe Marine on lake oconee in Georgia. I took photo on my lunch break at work as I use the bike to commute on.We also sell the Yamaha motors and go through a lot of oil for pre-delivery set up.I have been lurking on this forum for many months before purchasing the cb. All the great comments and opinions on this forum helped me decide . I saw the license plate mod a long time ago and thought it made the nice chrome fender really stand out. The next thing on my list is a K&H seat. I would like a staintune or yoshi slip-on, but I dont know how it will affect the low-mid range torque. license mod.....Chip Beck syle - Cormanus - 03-31-2014 Fred, people round here are very keen on pictures. RE: license mod.....Chip Beck syle - dBuster_imp - 03-31-2014 How did you come up with the name Tortuga? My son watches Wild Kratts and their ship is called the Tortuga so when ever I see your name I think of the Kratt brothers. Re: license mod.....Chip Beck syle - fredkb_imp - 04-12-2014 Finally got my tag and put a slimmer black frame around it. ![]() ![]() Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk RE: license mod.....Chip Beck syle - CB4ME_imp - 04-14-2014 (03-31-2014, 12:37 AM)fredkb_imp Wrote: I work on Yamaha outboards at Crowe Marine on lake oconee in Georgia. I haven't see a single negative comment. Staintunes look great, sound fantastic, and don't reduce torque in any range. Loud enough when you want to be, but you'll be hard pressed to hear the exhaust above wind noise when cruising above 50mph. Honda gave us a great engine. I've opened up the intake and exhaust and the bike still pulls down at 2000 rpm. I'll have to work harder to mess the engine up. ![]() You'll need to keep everyone updated on your bike. Those K&H seats are works of art. |
