2013 seat brackets - Moobin 22_imp - 05-16-2014

I have a 1983 CB1000c and I am modifying my bike to fit the seat from the 2013. Could one of you PLEASE post a few pics of the brackets on your bikes?

I want to see how I can fashion some of my own or purchase stock brackets and find a way to make them work.

I have a 14 (used to have a 13), and I think the seat latches are the same. Busy now but I can take some pics later this evening if that would help

So one question.... It looks like the rear of the seat locks into place. Is there a button or release that.... Well, releases the seat?

Yes it's cable operated. The release button is down by the helmet lock on the left side of the bike. There is a little thumb lever that you push down that moves the silver latch at the rear. It locks the seat to the bike.

Thanks again so very much. You have saved me from some anxiety about making this mod work.

Now I just have to decide if I want to go all the way with he lock assembly, cable and latch or keep the weight down and rig something else.
