National cycle windscreen - Mr Jangles_imp - 07-19-2014

Any thoughts or opinions on this windscreen? I kind of like it as it covers your hands for cold weather riding.

Ahh, the Plexi 2! That's my choice for winter riding and long road trips (tried fitting a bigger Plexi 3, but it didn't fit well). In AZ, those offer a bit too much coverage for summer riding, so I use a smaller Deflector DX.

The Plexi 2 offers very good upper body coverage and it extends nicely out to the grips. I've had a Plexi 2 or 3 on every naked bike I've owned for the past dozen years or so. The quick release mounting system allows you to remove and install it in about a minute. I like 'em!

Thanks for that report, how is the buffeting at 75? On my Harley I had to put fork deflectors on which greatly eliminated the buff.

They show that mounted on a 13 std, I believe you have a 14 dlx. Different headlight placement, different gauge placement, different handlebars. Be sure to verify fitment before ordering.

I've never had a problem with buffeting. The shield is tall enough that turbulent air goes to the top of my helmet. Of course, where the air hits you is largely a function of how tall you ride in the seat.

On my '13 (with smaller gauges) there's quite a bit of adjustability in rake and height, so you can get it where you want it. I suspect the '14 with the bigger gauges might have a bit less room to work with. I'll defer to a '14 owner on that one.
