road comet faring - hillbilly_imp - 07-01-2014 I am considering a road comet 2 faring for my 14 delux any comments concerning product would be appreciated thanks RE: road comet faring - B166er_imp - 07-01-2014 Furthermore, does it really clear any air? Or just for show? RE: road comet faring - vfrpaul98_imp - 07-01-2014 open ( SEARCH), keyword- road comet, search by user name (vfrpaul98), and you will find others also using the search function Paul. RE: road comet faring - CB4ME_imp - 07-01-2014 It's more for show than for significant protection. It does block some wind from your waist to mid-chest area. Chic Design offers a touring windshield (40mm taller) that should start to provide decent wind protection. I like The RC because your helmet is in clear air, and you don't get any wind noise. I had a Puig Plus that provided better wind protection but the wind noise was very anoying. It is not very functional but looks pretty good. I smoked the windscreen with spray on window tinting. good luck RE: road comet faring - Cormanus - 08-23-2014 RE: road comet faring - ClassicVW_imp - 08-23-2014 Slewis, I have the exact same one ordered and being made right now. I'm looking to just keep some wind off my chest at 70MPH. My Nolan helmet handles the wind very smoothly, I don't feel it pushing on my head or neck. I like the style very much, especially since they match the color and stripe of the tank. At first glance I wasn't certain I liked the exposed and bright silver bolts holding the screen in place, but then I realized it was done on purpose to contribute to the retro look. Good luck with yours and if you find you don't like the bright bolts you can always change them out with black if you have your screen smoked or black it out. There are clear plastic/nylon washers that go between the bolt head and windscreen so you can simply change the bolt and you won't see the washer. Again good luck. RE: road comet faring - ClassicVW_imp - 08-25-2014 Thank you |
