RE: Ok..done deal! - Aussieflyer - 02-12-2014 I've been reading through this thread for and admit that for a little while there I thought I had joined the wrong group of people ... so much chat about justifying a motorcyle purchase and best way to invest your money, WTF! As I may have stated in another thread somewhere, "It's my bike and has to only please one person, ME!" So in this case it's Ferret's bike, congratulations mate it's a great decision and I hope you get 1000's of happy miles out of the new CB. p.s. There's no time like the period waiting for delivery to be planning those peronalising touches (exhaust, mirrors, turn indcators, seat, etc.) whilst you're waiting for delivery and get the parts ordered asap ... I'm with Guth on this, they just make you feel better and smile even wider. RE: Ok..done deal! - the Ferret - 02-12-2014 Someone said it. Can't explain love. I have a buddy that has been married 3 times. His favorite expression is "love is grand..divorce is a hundred grand" Pick the right woman (I did) and you can save yourself some serious coin. Lol This thread was a little darker than our usual light mood around here. Sorry! There has been some good thoughts and sentiments expressed, and possibly some thought provoking wisdom for anyone considering a purchase of something thats not totally necessary, or justified ... No matter the item. It's all good fellas, this discussion would have come out eventually. Better now, and long forgotten, than to spoil the " look at my new bike" thread. davidsargee... A pattern indeed! I can't wait! Now lets get back to light hearted fun eh?

I been married to the same woman for 40 years! She gave up b!tchin and complaining about the $$ I spend on my bikes about 25 years ago, I think that is why I been married for 40 years RE: Ok..done deal! - rboe - 02-13-2014 I probably missed it, since it is a very minor detail; but do you have an idea of when your bike will be in your hot little hands? RE: Ok..done deal! - the Ferret - 02-13-2014 Expected delivery date is March 29...ironically the same day I picked up my 2013 last year RE: Ok..done deal! - the Ferret - 02-13-2014 well Hasta La Vista Baby Dealer called and said due to impending snow tomorrow he would like to pick up the bikes today ..no problemo here is is backing down my drive [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/theferret111/media/feb13006_zps9e188ddf.jpg.html] ![]() I was kind of sad to see my CB go sniff sniff..it is a GREAT motorcycle [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/theferret111/media/feb13008_zps42b07b36.jpg.html] ![]() Bye Bye CB... RE: Ok..done deal! - CA200_imp - 02-13-2014 I hate hijack this thread but Guth brought up his Staintune. As a retailer for many years (as some of you have figured out I loved being a retailer) I was always surprised at how people put a value on their motorcycle. It would seem that a lot of customers would have a hard time spending a few hundred $ to improve a metric bike just a few years old but a HD customer did not even flinch a spending a coupe of grand on a bike that was 10 or 15 years old. It was a mater of how people perceive their motorcycle. RE: Ok..done deal! - davidsargee_imp - 02-13-2014 Ferret, If it helps, I could get one of those helmet cams and send you the clips, 70 degrees in North Texas this weekend, I'll be taking the blanket off. Oh, and I'll try to fax a nice brisket from that place in Waco. Hang in there, your new baby will be here before you know it. Cheers RE: Ok..done deal! - ride4now_imp - 02-13-2014 (02-13-2014, 02:02 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: well Hasta La Vista Baby What year was your Majesty? Did he pick that up too? RE: Ok..done deal! - the Ferret - 02-13-2014 Yep my Majesty is an 06, and was sacrificed along with my CB to buy the 2014. It's on the right facing you on the trailer. The CB is on the left, facing away. My wife's Majesty, which we still have is an 09, so I still have a scooter to ride when feeling scooterish. ( if she will let me lol ) |
