Those are my gloves and I love the TCX boots....although I'm looking at Clark's Norton Rise (not as much protection, but they are still pretty beefy), and the Stymartin Indians. Problem is that I have no money.

We got a good deal on the gloves at last year's IMS, but that could be because the group I was with bought a total of 13 pairs.

I'll have to check out those Clark's. I've never heard of them. Ah, yes, money. It's funny (not really) how no matter how much I make, it never seems to be enough. I've completely bought into this whole capitalism concept.

EDIT: Those Clark's look really nice. Great. Just when I thought I had things narrowed down to two...

My wife and I say that with the loss of every animal. Then, a few months pass, and you realize that the YEARS of love outweigh the few weeks of pain. Then, it is off to the shelter to rescue a new baby in need of a forever home.

You forgot scarves! Haha. Glad to bring a smile to your face. And I completely agree. Great forum because of the great people who contribute here.

MG, here is a vest for your new jacket. I have a vest from here that I wear in the cooler weather under my jacket and summertime I like it under the mesh for some extra protection. But I'm a vest guy and usually always wear some sort of vest unless it's really hot.

Thanks gossman! I'm not much of a vest guy but that's a nice looking one. I'm curious as to how many more cold days we're going to have this season. Today we actually hit the low-90s! The high tomorrow will be only 83 then we'll have a cool down with all of next week being in the mid-70s. Absolutely horrid, I know.

I just saw your post. I am sorry for your loss. I went through this 4 years ago with a black lab we named Casey. Best dog I ever had. Got him as a puppy. I know the gut wrenching feeling and how bad it hurts. I feel like we were lucky that God let us have him for the 11 years that we had him. For that, I am grateful and we in turn gave him the best life and care we could. I still think about him often.

Finally, after about a year for me after losing Casey I brought home a golden retriever puppy because I missed the noise in the house and companionship. I do not regret that decision. Their personalities are totally different but their disposition is almost exactly the same. Friendly, playful, good with kids, always happy to see you and smart.

I did not mean to hijack this thread but I know the pain first hand of losing a dog. My Golden named Reagan is every bit a gift from God as Casey was. He is already 4 years old and I cherish everyday with him even when he gets into mischief like snatching a ham sandwich off the counter when you are not looking. ROFL (yes, he has done this more than once due to my carelessness.)

I just wanted to let you know I care and understand how hard losing a good friend like a lab is. Sorry again for the hijack.
