RE: CB1100 mods - bikerdave_imp - 03-10-2015 Oh, Dear God!!!!!!! I am beyond drooling on that Blue, Red, and white version. It is a dup for the Blue, Red, And White CB1100 F that I used to drag race and is sadly waiting patiently(I hope in the garage to be resuscitated. Thank you for sharing! RE: CB1100 mods - Scudrunr_imp - 03-20-2015 I love the curved oil coolers, its subtle and surely $. This thread has changed my mind about a small headlight fairing. If its small and color matched black they are sick RE: CB1100 mods - DGShannon_imp - 03-20-2015 (03-20-2015, 01:29 AM)jsinher3_imp Wrote: check out this 14 cb1100 from steel bent custom http://www.steelbentcustoms.com/ I wonder what exhaust slip on that is? I looks just right. They made the exhaust using components from Cone Engineering [url=http://www.coneeng.com/motorcycle_components.html]HERE. I asked the builder if they would consider building and selling the exhaust. Waiting on an answer. RE: CB1100 mods - Scudrunr_imp - 03-21-2015 I'll take one in ceramic coated black RE: CB1100 mods - DGShannon_imp - 03-21-2015 Looking through the Cone Engineering parts, I think I have figured out what the builder did. Appears that they took Cone's 12" Straight Core from [url=http://www.coneeng.com/pdf/motorcycle/MC-finished-Mufflers.pdf]HERE, and welded it onto a short section of the stock muffler. That allowed them to retain all of the factory screw hole, mounting tabs, etc. for the stock plastic shield. To the left of the weld line is Cone's unit, and to the right (up to the pipe clamp) is stock Honda, just cut off short for the application. That means that to make the unit ,as they did, you need a donor pipe. If one had the fab and welding skills, you could add the appropriate tabs to the Cone part itself, still retain the stock shield, and end up with an even shorter slip on that was about the length of the shield itself. Even more cool looking! RE: CB1100 mods - CBill00_imp - 05-08-2015 Wow, I hate this thread.... Or rather yet my wallet does lol |
