RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - venturer434_imp - 07-10-2016 Chip, Your bike and mods look great.. Can you please give us more details about "Jet-Hot’s super high temperature bright chrome finish". Similar to your Chip Beck spec corbin seat so that I can request the same from Jet-Hot. What exactly is the coating called? How much did it cost? What was the process to get this done? Looks great. If Honda comes out with the 2017 as in the images, with the seamless tank and the other changes, it will also be bad-a**. RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - Lord Popgun - 07-10-2016 Yeah I'd love to have it done sometime. Would have to be a Winter job though. Not pulling the headers in riding season! Venturer, The link has already been posted in the post below yours. This finish has been on my headers for almost a year now and it still looks like brand new shiny chrome. This stuff is the bomb. You won't regret it. Chip RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - Jedandsara_imp - 08-18-2016 Chip, what part did you use for the rear tail light and was it and easy swap or did you have to modify/customize it to fit and look good etc.? RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - use2b_imp - 08-19-2016 Very clean looking mods , congrats RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - ChipBeck_imp - 08-24-2016 (08-18-2016, 04:12 PM)Jedandsara_imp Wrote: Chip, what part did you use for the rear tail light and was it and easy swap or did you have to modify/customize it to fit and look good etc.? Jed, It was pretty easy. I didn't have to modify the tail light. It attaches with three bolts. I used the stock taillight top hole, drilled the two others through the fender, and the license plate covers the bottom two stock fender holes that are no longer used. Google "Lucas type hooded chrome metal taillight" and you'll find the part for sale. Chip RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - feralchimp_imp - 09-16-2016 Hey Chip, Great work. Really interested to hear your impressions of the Ohlins shocks vs. stock (if you can recall; it's been awhile). -Jared RE: The Finished Chip Beck Spec CB1100-PHOTOS - ChipBeck_imp - 09-26-2016 (09-16-2016, 12:31 AM)feralchimp_imp Wrote: Hey Chip, Jared, The stock shocks worked fine for the riding I do. I just thought the Ohlins looked cool. A tad stiffer with better rebound dampening. I had them set up for two-up riding 25% of the time and unlike the stock shocks there isn't an adjustment for spring compression. They are top quality units but unless you are a really good rider and only ride solo I would keep the stock shocks. Cheers. Chip |
