RE: defects CB 1100 - j3gq_imp - 11-29-2020 @Cormanus and @Ale72 very good conclusion! @Ale72 do you really own a CB1100 ? if so, would you let us know when you sell it and where ? I am not far away from Italy, travel often to this beautiful country AND I might be interested in your CB. RE: defects CB 1100 - the Ferret - 11-30-2020 Nice looking bike Ale RE: defects CB 1100 - Cormanus - 11-30-2020 ^^ +1 I hope it gives your more pleasure than the CB1100. RE: defects CB 1100 - rboe - 11-30-2020 Purely unscientific, but we seem to have a lot of CB1100/Guzzi owners here. I think because both are a bit of a throw back to the good ol' days (but in really different paths). At least one Guzzi local rider has that California (and trying to sell it); but like you and the CB, it does not fit me all that well. 36" inseam - but hey, if it fits it fits. If it don't it doesn't. Hey, the NEW California (and Eldorado etc.) should not be ignored. Looking forward to a ride report! There are maybe quirks but certainly not defects. If I really really had to nitpick? The paint on mine scatches easily. About it. Quirks? Lots of them. My biggest is a buzz from the dash at 2500-3500rpm at 3-4 gear. Can't figure it out.. If you wanna talk "Defects" talk to a guy with 2 Moto Guzzi V11 Sports where if a hose is pinched can implode your gastank.. I made a detailed review of my own California Custom, and subsequently the Eldorado, so if you have some time on your hands and would like to know what they are like and how they compare here are the links https://youtu.be/IueaD08GiiU https://youtu.be/l6nN2omAMPY '14 CB1100 STD 5 speed |
