RE: Rattling noise at idle. - Offroad - 04-13-2015 Seems like there was another thread talking about warm up idle time but I can't find it so I'll ask it here. The Honda service tech told me when I purchased my 2014 std that I should resist the urge to bump the throttle for at least 1 minute after start up..... he said the computer was taking lots of readings and doing little adjustments for that first minute and if you touch the throttle you would interfere with that process and mess things up. This is hard for me because I always got my motorcycles (with carburetors of course) to clear out when I first started them but bumping the throttle....but I've been holding off and it seems to running OK. So the question is.....is there some truth to what he said about the 1 minute warm up time? |
