Luckily I get back 2-3 times a year to visit family RE: interesting conversation about draining oil - 736cc_imp - 11-05-2017 Way back when I was a teenager and started being crazy about motorcycles, I read how some fancy racecars were started-up with fresh oil that was pre-heated for extra engine protection, so of course I had to do that with my precious CB500/4. I put 4 cans of castrol gtx in the kitchen gas oven...cans in those days had cardboard wrapped containers....it REALLY stunk up the house and made a real mess of my moms oven. True story. RE: interesting conversation about draining oil - 736cc_imp - 11-05-2017 A frugal bro of mine uses synthetic oil in his Kawasaki and when he changes it, he recycles that oil for his car oil change, and when he changes that recycled oil in his car he re-recycles that same oil again for his lawn mower oil change.
