I can't believe you won't get them at a similar price in an Adelaide dealer. RE: oil filter - alternative - ozigoo - 05-17-2020 Im in the Adelaide Hills ,Forreston, Ive tried the 2 Honda dealers here, and another big Motorcycle store ,Peter Stevens ,and there all priced over $30 Peter Stevens being the cheapest at $31.86...I tried to buy 4 x from your Brisbaine store but there out of stock, so hopefully they get some in at the right price RE: oil filter - alternative - Cormanus - 05-17-2020 Look up ProMotorcycles in Brisbane and call them to see what sort of deal they'll do. I've bought from them at a similar price to the other mob. I'm happy also to declare I have no financial or other interest in the business. I wonder whether there's some price taking due to a supply shortage? RE: oil filter - alternative - ozigoo - 05-18-2020 cheers ...will do RE: oil filter - alternative - Cormanus - 05-20-2020 ozigoo, after the nut on the K&N oil filter on Pterodactyl's CB1100 started leaking oil on the Hume Highway, I had to go hunting for something to replace it with. This fault has been reported here and in the US on this forum. The only easily obtainable alternative to the OEM filter was a HiFlo 204 which does not have the inherent weakness of the K&N. I bought 2, 1 for Pterodactyl and one for me as I was also running a K&N oil filter fitted when the bike was serviced. The HiFlo was with me a while and was fine. I'd use it again. $22 at SA motorcycles. https://www.samotorcycles.com.au/parts-and-accessories/detail/64133/hiflofiltro-oil-filter-hf204?filterid=ad2ef7a173. I suspect Ryco filters are probably fine too. The RMZ119 is supposed to fit the CB1100. I thought you could get them from Supercheap Auto, but I can't see them on the website. SCA offers a brand called Race Performance which looks suspiciously like K&N. RE: oil filter - alternative - ozigoo - 05-20-2020 Cheers, thanks for the info, much appreciated RE: oil filter - alternative - noroomtomove - 05-20-2020 G'day Cormanus and ozigoo. I did some research after the K&N episode in Gundagai, as a auto parts store get you home option the RYCO Z411 fits. I have actually fitted this to the bike and it just clears the exhaust, once the installation possibility option was confirmed it was removed. I opt for OEM. Take care NRTM RE: oil filter - alternative - ozigoo - 05-20-2020 BrisbanE Motorcycles just updated their price from $15 to $30 ...wtf...doubled in price overnight |
