personally I don't find those accessories appropriate for this bike and I never liked them on all the old bikes either.
I find the CB11 to be a sporty standard with plenty of pep for what it is and not something I would turn into a couch potato bike.
It certainly has more power and performance than any of the bikes it is supposed to represent as a retro.
That fact alone makes it a win, never-mind the reliability and build quality that far exceeds the old bikes.
I'm not sure what you are looking for but I don't think the CB is it. Maybe an older shadow is your calling?
But since cruisers are basically all copies of Harleys I doubt you'll find an I4 version of one.
Like ferret, I find the CB1100 much better than I expected. I am very happily impressed by it.
I know how you feel, I've bought a few bikes that turned out wrong for me. The best thing to do is to sell it and find something that suits you better.
I had a Ducati Panigale for 4 days!

The only reason I kept it that long was because I brought it home on a weekend. I called the dealer the day I took delivery, as soon as I got home, and told them I was bringing it back.
That bike had me underwhelmed.
it's all about expectations, isn't it.

A good friend of mine did the same thing with a Harley Fatboy. Picked it up on a Saturday. By the time he got home the dealer was closed. He called me and said he had just made the worst mistake in his life. He called the dealer first thing Monday morning and said he wanted to return the bike. Dealer said no. I think he lost 6 grand on it selling it.
I also know a guy that got married on a Saturday and kicker her out on Tuesday. A 4 days marriage lol. That's not even a good honeymoon.

I had my Harley Nightrod Special for about a month and then got rid of it. Talk about a bike that will really underwhelm you.....

I started riding in '67 and I honestly can't say how many bikes I've owned but there have been everything for Nortons(3) to Harleys (4) to Ducati and even a Royal Enfield Interceptor.
I've had my CB since mid May and just rolled 2500 mi. I sold my K75 BMW and traded my Road Star 1600 for it. And though I seriously miss that R* I have been really happy with my choice. It is not the fastest or the best handling or most powerful bike I've owned but I really think it may be the most enjoyable ride I've ever had. It does not thrill with performance in any one area but is subtly exceptional in all.
The power and torque are more than enough to keep me amused and it you give it its' thirst for revs it'll surprise you. The handling is easy and forgiving and make quick riding easy and enjoyable without a lot of effort.
It is as easy to take on a quick errand in town as it is for a quick run over back roads.
I can see where someone who wants to be "blown away" by a bikes experience could be underwhelmed by it. But I find it quietly and competently performs so many roles.

I had a 1986 Honda TLR 200 reflex. Using it exclusivly as a dirtbike!
Boy was that an Underwhelming feeling...

I've had gobs of bikes since my first 1968 Honda CB160. The largest and most powerful bikes were two BMW R1200c's (that were nothing to write home about). So, I don't have a high threshold of expectancy as far as power is concerned. I like being happy with what I have. My policy is to not ride anything that is faster or more powerful than I need. It preserves my satisfaction!
