See if your new windshield height with addition isn't 22 inches above the ign.

I've always said best windshield height for this bike is below 10 1/2" or 22" above the ignition.

PS2 is 17.5" above switch, the spoiler comes to 19.5 " the way I like to run it. It can be set up to 22" and with the air gap around the headlight and between the screen and spoiler it lets some air bubble through, pleasant but I rather not look through the screen.
I have the Puig naked which does come to about your lower height standard and is nice, but I am enjoying this setup for longer distance and cooler temps.
Set up the way it is now I had a ride back from the coast last weekend that was very nice. I didn't lack comfort, power, stowage (with top box and soft bags) and
handling was plenty good for my standards.
The exhaust note echoing off the canyon walls was excellent.
In other words, a great touring machine for my solo needs.
Other forum members have cafe'd them, added sidecars and any number of variations in between. I think the early reviews sniffing about lack of character was off the mark by a long shot. It has it's own, true to it's roots, but can also adopt the character-istics you prefer it to have.

I feel my ps2 height is just perfect.. I don't know what the height is above the ign switch, but I will measure it, just out of curiosity .. has any ps2 guys checked their mpg before and after? .. I was surprised to get even better mileage with the ps2 compared to the hellfire.. the ps2 is a larger windshield..I am getting a consistent 55+ mpg now..

chuckk ..

ferret, wouldn't the ideal height have to consider the riders height? .. I am 5' 11".. I feel I have my ps-2 set to just the right height.. after reading ben's comment, I measured mine today,, it is 20" from the ignition to the top of the screen.. I had actually tilted it back some, to lower it an inch.. by doing that I think I also ended up with a better angle of deflection.. that must help my gas mileage.. also today, I gave the ps-2 the 100 m.p.h. test.. I was doing 90 when I passed the bridge.. then 100 shortly after.. sorry about all of the bugs, but actually it will help one see any windshield movement at that speed.. I couldn't hold the 100 for very long, as it is a fairly short straightaway and that turn ahead comes up pretty quickly..
