Lol. See? Therein lies the problem: For some odd reason, she does not view the lack of an unanticipated expense as a "savings".

Es I bought a pair of those mitts. Small is right, wouldn't fit my CB, wouldn't, fit my scooter, wouldn't fit my brothers ATV, I gave them to my son to try on his ATV . Haven't heard back yet from him.

I'm sorry if my previous recommendation of them caused you to make a bad purchase, Mickey. Sad However, I used them for over 500 miles before they started catching on the clutch lever. Always had a problem with the turn signals and said as much. I hope you can find a use for them someplace.

(Oh my goodness....I just realized the problem...the 500 miles I rode using the mitts was BEFORE I installed the RLETs! I think they may grab the fabric whereas the bare lever end would slide over it! Have I discovered a negative attribute to the beloved RLETs??)

Sea..no biggie, they were $20 and the shop will take them back if I don't find anything to put them on. I just had them special order them for me, so I'd hate to return them. I think they are made for 50cc scooters without disc brakes.

Great to hear you worked out the issue and the solution proved to be as simple as removing the mitts! It's too bad that they didn't work for you but consider yourself fortunate that you had RLETs which, in their wisdom, allowed you to diagnose the issue and find the answer. Clearly, the mitts are incompatible with the CB and the RLETs just needed to guide you into discovering that for yourself.

I can't wait to see what new jacket you end up with!

Blo*dy hell, as we say in the Antipodes when we want to express surprise. I wish I'd realized RLETs conferred a sort of vicarious wisdom on the rider. MG, are you sure? Could it be the combination of RLETS, Bullit helmet and new jacket that does it?
