Bummed about that, was looking forward to riding in N&S Dakota and crossing 2 more states off the list. Maybe next year. RE: 2018 Motorcycling Resolutions - use2b_imp - 06-30-2018 Resolution 1 - just have fun RE: 2018 Motorcycling Resolutions - emptysea - 06-30-2018 Ferret: if you need company on the Dakota Check-Off Ride, let me know. RE: 2018 Motorcycling Resolutions - rboe - 07-02-2018 My goal: Ride each bike enough that the carb in the 650 doesn't go bad - again. And the gas doesn't go bad in the Griso, and the Li-ion battery in the CB doesn't get too low. RE: 2018 Motorcycling Resolutions - Nortoon_imp - 07-02-2018 After such a rainy season last year I made no resolutions. Good thing! This winter lasted almost 3 weeks longer and spring was cold. Ordinarily June is one of the best riding months of the year because the days are warm and everything is fresh and green. But it was so cold in the morning two weeks ago, my hands went numb. This week it is so hot you get soaking wet wearing a T-shirt for a couple of hours. Screwy weather! This year I have only been able to ride 5 times, and rolled up a meager 2100 kilometers (1300 miles). How close are you to meeting your resolutions? RE: 2018 Motorcycling Resolutions - Cormanus - 10-07-2018 Good work MTC. So, FAIL on that resolution 2nd: I'm at 18,053 miles as of yesterday. In order to make goal of 20,000 I need 1947 miles in next 6 weeks, an average of 47 miles a day, every day. This one might be tough depending on weather 3rd: I've ridden 254 days so far. In order to make goal, since I took today off due to ice & snow, I need to ride every day the rest of the year. (really could have used the 36 days I had to take off with the broken arm lol, other wise I'd only need 10 more days to make that goal). This one might be tough too depending on weather. The smaller bike thing: Since I blew up my ST 1300 and had to replace it with a new two up sport tourer I put off buying another smaller motorcycle. However I now have a CB500X in the garage belonging to my nephew in Nevada that I can ride anytime I want. So no need for me to buy a small run around bike. I did make the Kentucky rally, so at least made that resolution.
