RE: Lane Filtering ... - the Ferret - 06-24-2019

it is here Dodgy

they should have added

IF DONE PROPERLY ROFL

Did you watch that video I posted of the guy on the CBR1000R?

RE: Lane Filtering ... - Gone in 60 - 06-24-2019

Oh yeah, Ferret. I have conversations in L.A. traffic from time to time with riders like that. Typically including the phrases:

Try not to move.
Your bike will be fine.
Yes, I found your other shoe.
The ambulance is on the way.
Is there anyone you would like me to call for you?

I had to fast forward to see if that guy was eventually going to crash. With all of the wide gaps between cars that could have potentially changed lanes in front of him, I'm amazed he survived long enough to post the video. And, these are typically the riders who think that a tank top, back protector and sweat pants constitute safe riding gear.

Just love it when my wife and I are stuck in traffic in some pit of L.A. and a rider flies past us like that, scaring the bejeesus out of both of us. Sometimes I can get the phrase "You know I don't ride like that" before she can turn her head and glare at me.

I will say this about those comments - if you don’t have current emergency and ICE information on your cell phone, please do it now.

Having been the first person to approach a downed rider my share of times, the first thing the person has done is say “phone” or point to a pocket with a phone. I’ve got my emergency info set up with blood type and my wife’s name and number.

Yeah...that dude's in Atlanta. Isn't lane splitting illegal in Georgia? In fact, can't motorcyclists be sued if they're lane splitting and in an accident?
