RE: Journey from the past - peterbaron - 03-05-2025 Not in this crazy CR’s mud
RE: Journey from the past - Cormanus - 03-05-2025 The down side of taking the CB is not the fear of it getting dirty, but all that gravel. But you could entertain us all, peterbaron, by riding your CB from Canada to CR, parking it somewhere clean, then building a dirt bike in pdedse’s yard so you can go riding with him. I’d offer to go with you and help, but I can’t ride to CR from here and my help with anything mechanical normally just gets in the way. RE: Journey from the past - peterbaron - 03-06-2025 You are right about the gravel. This would be a very long round trip, about 12,000 kms/8,000 miles. https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/Toronto,+ON/Costa+Rica/@25.0657725,-110.4883008,4z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x89d4cb90d7c63ba5:0x323555502ab4c477!2m2!1d-79.3831843!2d43.653226!1m5!1m1!1s0x8f92e56221acc925:0x6254f72535819a2b!2m2!1d-83.753428!2d9.748917!3e0?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMwMy4wIKXMDSoJLDEwMjExNDU1SAFQAw%3D%3D Possible but risky travel these days due to road rage, violence and weather. I estimate the average daily travel distance could be around 600 km which would take almost two weeks. Not likely to materialize without a safety device like an AK47. Here is a much safer option I am thinking of https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/Toronto,+ON/Labrador+City,+NL/Blanc-Sablon,+QC/Port+aux+Basques,+NL/North+Sydney/Toronto,+ON/@48.7003587,-73.3446317,5.42z/data=!4m38!4m37!1m5!1m1!1s0x89d4cb90d7c63ba5:0x323555502ab4c477!2m2!1d-79.3831843!2d43.653226!1m5!1m1!1s0x4cf54b769af1eda1:0x314b7cd57394d063!2m2!1d-66.9153137!2d52.9383852!1m5!1m1!1s0x4b81aae922d04095:0x28798cd3513f395!2m2!1d-57.1313148!2d51.4264451!1m5!1m1!1s0x4b65a56bbe03fa8f:0x5ae5f2d081c9b5a5!2m2!1d-59.1703034!2d47.5865745!1m5!1m1!1s0x4b67ef033cc4082f:0xbf0517bb7d9ecd34!2m2!1d-60.2523805!2d46.2064806!1m5!1m1!1s0x89d4cb90d7c63ba5:0x323555502ab4c477!2m2!1d-79.3831843!2d43.653226!3e0?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMwMy4wIKXMDSoJLDEwMjExNDU1SAFQAw%3D%3D |
