RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - rusty1_imp - 02-11-2015 I had to send one photo. RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - the Ferret - 02-11-2015 Cb 400f, Cx Turbo, Yamaha dirt bike and 2 mystery vehicles, plus a stripped CB 1100. Nice basement! After another look not sure about bike on left, tank isn't right and it looks like it has drum front brakes. What is it Rusty? RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - rboe - 02-12-2015 I think it has a single disc, inline four (maybe even a triple); my bet, an early Yamaha. ![]() I've ridden the CX500T new, sweet machine. I'd love to have one, but too complicated for an old piece of machinery for me. Still one of the best looking bikes produced. The design ages very well - but I may be a wee bit biased. RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - the Ferret - 02-12-2015 Think you are right about the single disc. I see it now, but I am pretty sure those are 77s era Honda turn signals, Fun guessing with few clues ( non factory bars, no mirrors) RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - rusty1_imp - 02-12-2015 Well ferret you are dam close it is a 1975 cb400/4 and those are oem bars these are Canadian model's, the cxt's have low bars to. The Yamaha dirt bike is wr250r, and the black cover is covering 03 fjr 1300,and the silver cover is covering a cx650t. Inline 4 the inline 4 make's a sweet sound, but for the sweetest sound is one of my cbx's with six into two pipes. I do love all motorcycle's but some just steal your heart and ears. But I am getting off track here, I really like the power box two tails pipes with the stock header, but can not wait to hear it with the arrow header with no cat. The snow can not go fast enough. That is the nice thing about winter in Canada you can not wait till spring and all your bike's feel like brand new. RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - the_undecider_imp - 02-12-2015 Rusty, you have one heckuva quiver there. We have an "other motorcycles" section on the forum where we discuss and post photos. If time and weather permits, I'm sure some folks wouldn't mind seeing some more photos of these other bikes. That CB 400 and CX650 T certainly have my interest. Thanks! RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - VTR1000F_imp - 02-13-2015 My dual silencer Moriwaki full system in stainless is a tad lighter then original Honda header with single muffler. If you want to loose weight even further, they make their full system in Titanium too! Best of all worlds: performance, looks, symmetry and less weight! RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - the Ferret - 02-13-2015 Found this old thread with some pics of Moriwaki duals http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4598&highlight=Moriwaki RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - CB4ME_imp - 02-13-2015 and here's a picture of the twin tail from the left side of a CB1100: ![]() As an aside, my twin tail replacement exhaust for an NC700X ships next Wednesday. Here's a stock picture:
RE: Single side dual pipe for CB ? - the Ferret - 02-13-2015 Those are short and kind of wild looking CB4ME. BTW yesterday was a snow day...no riding ...so I went down to the local shop and test sat the FJ09 again ( still way too tall) the FZ08, the FZ07, and the NC 700. So far I like the NC 700 best. |
