After extensive examination, it is not feasible to mount the bag to the support bracket such that I could easily remove the back and bracket as one assembly. The leather yoke that you tie to the grab handle is just too wide to fit in behind the grab handle where it could be mounted directly to the support bracket. Oh well, I was hoping I could figure something out since I miss being able to use that grab handle for hoisting the bike onto the center stand.

When I first got the bag, I thought I might want to remove it when I wanted to ride without the bag. That hasn't been the case. So, I have actually made it harder to remove the bag in the name of increased security. The open ended clips allowed me to unstrap the bag at the top and pop the while thing off. The problem was if I didn't have the clips adjusted exactly right, the bag would often jiggle loose from the bracket and flap around until I noticed and fixes it. I also didn't like the metal on metal contact. So, I bought some rubber insulated clamps and they are rock solid.

Here's the bracket without the bag and a pic of the new clamps.
