RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - TINK_imp - 04-19-2015 Just noticed my British Customs gaiters are cracking, badly! Just 8 months old and they are toast. Time to spring for the Kawi gaiters. RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - TINK_imp - 04-23-2015 Got my Kawi gaiters today from 2wheelpros.com. $106.27 to my door for the pair. Now I just need some time to put them on... RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - the Ferret - 04-23-2015 They will last a decade Tink. The ones on my 2003 Triumph are still going strong. RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - Ghis_imp - 04-23-2015 So the Kawi are a Kawasaki part? What's the part number? What bike do they come from? RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - the Ferret - 04-23-2015 Ghis they come from the 2000-2002 Kaw w650. Let me see if I can find the number for you. Its in here http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3289 RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - TINK_imp - 04-29-2015 Just 8 months old, British Customs generic gaiters. RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - the Ferret - 05-01-2015 Kawasaki Gaiters on my brothers T-100..... 12 YEARS old (took this pic today just for this thread) [url=http://smg.photobucket.com/user/theferret111/media/CB%20ride%20May%201%202015%20009_zpsaqsfaqrf.jpg.html]
Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - Elipten_imp - 05-01-2015 Obviously the British Customs are garbage. Get what you pay. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - Wisedrum - 05-30-2015 These are the fork gaiters of a W800. 4+1/2 years old and still in good shape. Sometimes I take care of them with e.g. Amor All , that's all. And they will last etc. Wisedrum RE: Fork Gaiters - buyer beware - MagnaRider - 02-07-2025 Whelp, probably stumbled upon this to late. I got what I thought were Triumph Bonneville gaitors off Ebay, they look nice now but worried they are going to degrade like others have said in this since they are made in Taiwan and they were ~$35. Any updates on current gaitor users and anything you can do to prolong the life of them? Was going to buy the Kawasaki Gaitors but the part is discontinued and not available anywhere I could find. |
