Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We're enjoying amazing weather in Southern California and I've been taking advantage of it by escaping for short rides in between getting ready to host a big dinner tonight. Yesterday, I played hookie from work and rode to the coast. My VFR, which has been mostly neglected since bringing home the CB, needed to stretch her legs. As the days go by without riding the VFR, I start thinking about selling it in order to more easily afford things I want for the CB - Yoshimura RCSV full exhaust, re-flash of ECU, Ohlins suspension, Corbin seat, engine guards...the list goes on. Then I throw my leg over the VFR, hit the road and come back knowing I can't sell this bike!

Yeah the bodywork can be expensive. But I think China has everything now, which on an old bike makes $$ sense. I saw another the other day, red, 6500 miles, 3500 bucks. Very low insurance. Economics 101. Hey.

Makes sense to buy the cheap chinese tupperware and install it, saving the original for later. That way, if you crash, you don't take out the unobtainium.

Nice looking machine, Tink. A friend of mine had a 99 with Heli's, Sargent seat and the Staintune. Very good setup.

That's awesome Tink. Both bikes look goood. And the pics from Pasadena are great! Snow here in eastern Mass today. Only five slushy inches but it sure ain't riding weather around heah. There are some motorcycle people gatherings in the winter, but we live vicariously through you all in the sunny climes. I like those vintage meets. Not enough Japanese meets per se.
