Am I the only one who has noticed it? Reading back through the thread I don't see anyone else mention it. Hmmm... I don't think I have a bad transmission. The double click is very noticeble for me.

Same here. I've actually caught myself cruising down the Interstate in third. I only noticed when a glance at the tach showed around 6k rpm.
I'm used to motocycles that make their power at much higher rpms than cars. Most of my previous bikes would normally operate around 5K rpm going down the highway. I think that's why I don't really feel the need for another gear. At 75 mph, the CB11's engine is turning slower than any bike I've had before. I generally don't shift into 5th until 70 mph.

It feels exactly the same when it jumps over neutral from first to second gear.

They are not really thick. They are Bilt (kinda low cut) riding boots.
If it ever quits raining here I'll check it out.

My 4th-5th shift is smooth as silk, both up and down. You may want to have your dealer take a look. It shouldn't do that, IMO.

Maybe its the shifting technique? Do you pull in the clutch and let the revs drop way down then gently shift, or do you pull the clutch and briskly make the gear change in almost the same motion where the revs drop just a little? I think most do it the second way and the shifts feel seamless, even 1to 2.
you don't shift out of one gear and into the next like when shifting a car, just goes straight from one gear to the next with nothing in between....a quicker shift is actually better for the tranny than a "lazy" shifting technique. If you're shifting to 5th at a too slow speed, there might be a moment where you could feel a slight "clash" before the dogs drop in. Its best to avoid that clashing by shifting a little differently.
