High on the list of reasons I bought it was its appeal to that part of my soul that never got over owning a Honda 4 in the early 1970s. Sold a 230 to get an 1100. I always wanted a 750 in the 70s so the 1100 is that bike with 'inflation' factored in.

Back in the 90s, I read an article in a motorcycle magazine about two guys who traveled cross-country on a pair of 1970s CB750s. I'd never seen a CB before and it looked like the absolute perfect motorcycle to me. Years later, I bought my first CB (1972 CB450). About ten years after that and I just recently bought my second CB. They're still perfect. 2013 Honda CB1100 |
