RE: Ride across the USA - Stichill - 07-04-2019

The US129Photos are always my favorite! They have the best shot angles in my opinion.

Great form on the Dragon, Django...you look very competent and in control!

Today I had a close call at the Dragon. I was in a left corner with about 110 degree. A toward coming Harley rider was too fast, crossed the line and came as far as to the mid into my lane. Riding outside of my lane, as I do before I can look thru, saved my a...

Wow, disciplined road strategy and proper lane position...a lifesaver.

I’m very pleased he missed, Django. Good work on your part.

RE: Ride across the USA - alprider - 07-04-2019

dragon tail pics the most riders have a very bad driveline.....the head has nothing to look for over the midline
even if you see that on the other track nothing comes along. you never have to do anything there in every situation

We learn the right curve line and the associated viewing technique here in ogligatorial driving school lessons.......django knows/learned this...

RE: Ride across the USA - Lord Popgun - 07-04-2019

That exact same thing happened to a man I know while on the Dragon. Except he got hit and messed him up BAD!! Air lifted out and everything. He was a Master Chief in the Navy and ended up having to retire due to the injuries.

Glad you made out ok Django!!

A Harley with a boxer! They build 1,000 of them during WW2 for the Sahara, but when they were ready, war in the Sahara was already history. Actually it's a copy of the BMW of that time. After WW2 they were sold for few money.

RE: Ride across the USA - GoldOxide_imp - 07-06-2019

Love the history Django!

Django teaches as he rides 'merica. Love it! Smile

I can't imagine riding that in the Sahara. Sign of the times I suppose.
