RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age - the Ferret - 11-12-2017 Since May of 2013? Yep I have added 4 years and 1 slot. Deep into the 8% group now. Don't know that I will make it into the last group. We shall see. RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age - Rocky_imp - 11-12-2017 (11-12-2017, 02:07 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: Since May of 2013? Yep I have added 4 years and 1 slot. Deep into the 8% group now. I turn 80 in a three weeks so you will have too add another category beyond age 75 No worries ferret, you'll make it into the older categories with ease. RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age - the Ferret - 11-12-2017 Rocky you are blessed. Hope you stay that way for many years to come! Thanks ferret I have uncommonly good health and strength for my age and I plan to ride until I can't. I just put the CB in winter storage this weekend and now have to wait until next year. At my age I sometimes wonder how many "next year's" of riding I have left, but don't dwell on it. I also think I have the good sense to know when to quit - at least I hope I do
RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age - the Ferret - 11-12-2017 On today's ride I saw an 'older gentleman" shuffling up his sidewalk towards his garage and I thought to myself "That guy is chasing me. Wonder how long before he catches up with me"... ie: wonder how many more years before that is ME? Just in the last 6 months I've gone from going up steps a foot on each step, to step up a step, bring my other foot up beside it, step up a step, bring my other foot up beside it. RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age - LongRanger_imp - 11-12-2017 Carpe diem, my friend. RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age - Cbgaz_imp - 11-12-2017 Your only as old as the woman you feel. Sounds like a bad knee?? I resemble that remark too. Hope it gets better. Let's hope it's something that can be corrected. Remarkably, I have no knee or hip problems and really haven't slowed down that much and can ride all day with the best of them. But I take nothing for granted and take good care of myself with a healthy lifestyle, etc., and I have genetics on my side. |
