What supports did you use with them or did I miss that?

Kijima support. I am pretty sure I left that info out. Webike sells single pieces so you don't have to buy what you don't need. It was around 4000 yen or $35. I bought the bag, support, a fork brace, and a motorcycle cover (cheapest item I could find to get me over the free shipping minimum ) all for around $450. I feel like I got a good amount of stuff for my money.

My K&H seat, sadly, was quite a bit more. I can't imagine I could afford to buy all this were the exchange rate not so favorable right now. I think once I get it, I will be happy I splurged and went with the K&H. It should be a perfect match to the saddlebag and everyone who has ordered one raves about the craftsmanship. The CB is a premium motorcycle and deserves premium accessories.

I wanted to post an update to my installation of the saddlebag. I wasn't totally happy with how it fit. You will see in the photo below a couple inch gap below the turn signal which looked a little sloppy. Also, the back side has d-rings riveted to the bottom corners and a couple of lashing straps are provided. With my saddle back support bracket, those d-rings were about 4 inches below the bracket, so the bag still wanted to sling off to the side and bounce around. Here's how it looked before:

First thing I did was move the front mount that uses the bungee peg from the upper slot in the leather tab to the lower slot. The leather strap I was using on the rear set of mounting slots was too thick to pass it out from the bottom slot and back in through the top slot, so I had to run it up over the top of the leather tab. That and having a buckle and wide spacing on the buckle holes kept me from getting a nice tight draw on the strap. I substituted a nylon strap instead.

Next, I had to do something about securing the back side of the bag to the support bracket. The rear of the bag is reinforced with a thick plastic sheet, so I originally planned to drill holes and bolt some sort of homemade bracket around the supports. I stopped in to a Northern Tool store and found a nifty rivet gun designed for threaded rivets. It's just a steel threaded plug and the run has a threaded tip that you thread the plug onto and insert it into the hole and a squeeze of the gun mushrooms the plug to stay in the hole. Then, for a bracket, I had some little J bend brackets made for attaching bungee to a bicycle. They fit the support bracket perfectly, so I installed a pair and they fit beautifully:

The result, a tightly mounted bag that hugs the turn signal as it was intended:

Nice Job! That came out awesome!

I put TourMaster bags on mine, but they aren't leather. They fit really nice and have lots of storage for under $100. They come with rain covers that encase the entire bag. I didn't need any brackets and they don't go near the wheel at all. The way they are attached, they don't allow the bags to push in towards the tire.

Same brand as what Mr. T sells, but made to clear the turn signal so no need to relocate them. This may be on my 2nd round of mods after I order my saddle.

I think the brown would look sharp against the red if you can get a match with the saddle. If you go Corbin, ask them to send you material samples before ordering.

I really like the idea of this bag with a cutout relief for the turn signal. Using the basic dimensions and drawing it out to the best of my ability, I made a cardboard template to see how it might fit on the CB.

This may work well on this bike. The webike site shows it on a Sportster. It would be neat to come up with a bracket that integrates with the saddlebag such that it and the bag can easily mount to the bungee peg bolt holes so when the bag is removed, none of the saddlebag support bracket remains. I also wonder if a local saddle maker might be able to make a bag to more exacting specifications and precise fit with no interference. That might be expensive, though. Anyway, here are some photos to illustrate where I am going with this:

The bracket isn't removed via a quick release mechanism, but it's only held on with 2 bolts which is what holds the passenger grab handle. The bracket slips in between the grab handle and sub-frame.

It's much easier to remove the bracket from the bike than to remove the bag from the bike. If I get motivated to redesign how the bag mounts, I'll get a pic of just the bracket on the bike. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I'd like to be able to more easily remove the bag and bracket together.
