Am I missing parts - treytexag_imp - 05-20-2016

Received my Emgo Venom Mark II today from Powersports. It has two parts, the fairing piece, and the windshield piece. As seen in the pic here, there are approximately 8, maybe more, black screws that attach the windshield to the fairing. See pic here:

Here is my box BTW:

Question is this, was I supposed to receive those 8 little black screws to attach the windshield to the fairing part? I didn't receive any hardware, just the two plastic bits. BTW, pretty good quality IMHO, was hoping for hardware to screw both parts together. Also, any kind of gasket or "mating" material to place in between windshield and fairing before screwing together?

Please advise if I was supposed to get the black screws or do I have to go down to the Home Depot or BLowes to pick something up?

OK thanks gents.

Check the packing, a small package of screws was taped to the bubble wrap in mine.

RE: Emgo fairing - Inhouse Bob - 05-20-2016

Someone asked about the shield hitting the gauges...
I took my Drimmel and cut off a chunk of the plastic at the bottom where it contacts the horns and made enough room to tilt the fairing forward so that it sits about two inches above the gauges. Since the only mounting points are the headlight mounting screws, you can just pivot the whole thing forward. I didn't bother making a bracket for the bottom because the mounting screws seem to hold it all stable, even at speed, but others have added something to support the bottom.

Regrettably, no small package of screws taped to the bubble wrap, or anywhere else in the box . . . . Frustrating that I have to return the whole box simply due to these small screws . . . .

Since both my plastic parts arrived in great shape, perhaps I should order the replacement first and see what gets delivered?

Mine arrived with broken windscreen, I called them and they are sending a whole new unit, not asking for return! I may get an extra set of screws, if so you're welcome to them for shipping charges.

I dremeled enough out by the gauges for exact fit around the headlight bezel, I also had to notch out for the turn signals, I also used adhesive weather stripping around the dremeled parts that come into close contact to avoid wear on the gauges, and two little pieces on the brake reservoirs for the same reason.

11bc, could you show us a couple of pics of your dremeling around the guages and the protective taping? I too, using directions from Captwb1136, must do some cutting, dremeling and sanding. Would like to see how yours looks too.

Thanks 11, appreciate the help . . .
